Library & Documentation Centre

In the three centuries since the arrival of Muslims in South Africa, there does not exist any national documentation centre preserving the heritage and the achievements of Muslims. The Al-Ansaar Foundation had the privilege of acquiring a rare collection of 5 000 books from the well-known Durban based organisation, the Arabic Study Circle. Insha’ Allah (god- willing), this is the first step in the direction of establishing the first ever Islamic Documentation Centre.

The envisaged Documentation Centre will not only preserve the South African Muslim heritage, but will also showcase the Islamic achievements of the hundreds of individuals and organisations, insha’ Allah.
